Frustrations
October 30th, 2006I forgot what I was going to write last time I was here, but I got myself all frustrated because I couldn’t get anything to post. I don’t have much to write now, except to see if stuff will work.
I thought the other day that my life really doesn’t have much drama. Got license renewal stickers stolen from one car, was going to take truck in to get inspection for its license renewal and it wouldn’t start. Needs a battery. Had nail in tire on other car. Short enough on funds this month that we’re using up mower gas rather than driving to gas station for the cars. I guess that’s a good thing to do every year anyway. In the middle of an internet scam –someone’s trying to victimize us. They’re trying to get us to cash a $4650 cashiers check to buy a boiler from us. We’re supposed to keep our $1000 and give the shipper a money order “today” –in two parts, written from separate Western Union places– for the leftover so they can ship the boiler to England. Drove in to town last night to rescue a damsel in distress. From Warrensburg, MO, She called her boyfriend who lives north of Columbia. His parents called us (back in Warrensburg) to ask if I could run out to help her get her keys out of her ignition.  I went out to help. Got the keys out, she tried it and got ‘em out again. She moved her car, and the keys got stuck again, and don’t want to come out. It’s not really drama, but it makes life interesting.
Now let’s see if this is working tonight.
